Why Skincare Should Be Cruelty-Free

Why Skincare Should Be Cruelty-Free

At SkinChoice, we do not use animal by-products in our formulations, and we will never test on animals. Rest assured that the raw ingredients in all of our formulations will always be vegan and cruelty-free.

We believe that skincare should be cruelty-free and here is why:

Ethical considerations

Animals, including mice, rabbits, and guinea pigs, are frequently used in the development and testing of skincare products. These tests can be painful and can cause harm or death to the animals involved. Many people believe that it is wrong to subject animals to such treatment for the sake of human vanity or convenience.

Human health concerns

While animal testing can be used to determine the safety of skincare products, it is not always reliable in predicting how a product will affect humans. In fact, some products that were deemed safe for use on animals have caused harm to humans when used.

Alternatives exist

Alternatives exist: There are many alternative methods available for testing the safety and effectiveness of skincare products that do not involve animals. These include in vitro testing (using cell cultures or other non-animal methods), computer modeling, and using human volunteers.

cruelty-free patches

Overall, we all have a responsible to choose cruelty-free skincare products that is compassionate and ethical, that can help to reduce the suffering of animals and ensure the safety and effectiveness of the products we use on our skin.
